ARYAN SIAHPOUSHAN
Aryan grew up playing a variety of sports, particularly excelling in tennis. He took up weightlifting in college while pursuing a dual degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Maryland.

Although Aryan's career began in consulting, his entrepreneurial instincts and passion for fitness led him back to the weight room. After learning about the physiology and biomechanics of the human body to improve his own training techniques, Aryan worked at Gold's Gym for several years before becoming an independent trainer and creating Method Fitness.
​
He's determined to help others train more intelligently and sustainably while guided by a foundation of science-backed techniques – something he wishes he had when he first started lifting.
Since then, he has devoted countless hours in continued education and certifications and has coached 150+ clients across all levels, ages, and needs.​

MATEO MOORE
Director of Ops & Marketing / Personal Trainer
Mateo Moore is a certified NASM Personal Trainer and a long time student of the craft that is lifting weights with perfect form. Prior to his weightlifting and fitness career, Mateo was a long time Martial Artist training in 6 different styles.

Upon moving to Blacksburg to attend Virginia Tech and discovering no local dojos to continue his martial arts practices at, Mateo turned to weightlifting. It proved to be a smooth transition due to the similarities between the two disciplines, including perfecting form and the mental motivation required to keep pushing forward.
​
He's since immersed himself in learning more about exercise and is passionate about helping others maximize their performance while minimizing injuries. Mateo has been with us since the inception of the gym in early 2021. Mateo enjoys sharing his goofy and playful attitude with all who enter the gym. However, this demeanor is tempered when it comes to moving with good form, Mateo will cue and correct every nook and cranny of your form so that you can move with the utmost confidence.

Thoemaas is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Prior to stepping into the fitness and health industry, he used to work as a professional chef. His aim was to nurture his relationship with food and hone his ability to bring others together to one table.
It is his strong belief that every client is a success story and it’s simply a matter of nurturing them to facilitate this actualization. Resonating within his nature is the duty to help and enrich the lives of others. With an abundance of flavor and zest, he’s perpetually cultivating the capacity and understanding necessary to assist anyone in living a more wholesome and meaningful life.
Thoemaas is currently pursuing his M.S. in Exercise Science and Health Promotions at Pennsylvania Western University. In his free time he coaches troubled youths by teaching them healthy habits and the fundamentals of diet & exercise.

JAMES HIGGINS
Director of Ops & Business Development / Personal Trainer
James is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He has almost a decade of experience working in outpatient physical therapy settings, assisting diverse varieties of patients recovering from various aches and pains to surgeries. He has been practicing as a personal trainer since April 2019 and seeks to combine principles from physical therapy with personal training to help clients achieve their fitness goals and be the best they can be. He accomplishes this by placing emphasis on injury prevention, corrective exercise, and functional strength and conditioning.
Growing up, James practiced a wide variety of martial arts, including Tae Kwon Do, Judo, and Jiu Jitsu and remains passionate about martial arts. James continued this passion and continued practicing through college as he attended the College of William and Mary and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology and Health Science with a concentration in Health Sciences. Since graduating, James focuses more on powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting for his own training. Always eager to learn more, James has earned additional certifications in different modalities, screening tests and techniques, and methodologies to provide the highest quality of individualized programs to each of his clients.

DYLAN NOVAK
Director of Trainer Development / Personal Trainer
In addition to being enrolled in the Masters Program for Kinesiology at George Mason University, Dylan works at the institution’s SMART lab where he helps conduct biomechanics and exercise physiology research. Armed with this appreciation for science, and a fundamental understanding of human movement, he trains his clients with an attention to detail that allows for absolute optimization and efficiency.
Prior to moving to Virginia for graduate school, he had been training individuals for 5 years - specializing in both sports performance, and injury rehabilitation (specifically shoulder and posterior chain dysfunction).
His own training revolves around strength & conditioning for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and blending the different disciplines to allow for continued progress.

Personal Trainer
Cole Mercer is experienced coach with 11 years of coaching experience across multiple styles of fitness, including martial arts, collegiate strength & conditioning, and functional fitness. Cole is excited to leverage that experience to improve the quality of your movement, and create an educational and challenging environment. Cole can work with you to improve all aspects of your physical health at any age! He also has an Adaptive Training Certification, which affords him the ability to work with different ability ranges, from impaired or single limb disabilities to clients who use wheel-chairs to intellectual challenges.

Cole has a Masters in Exercise Science and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, so he focuses on the most up-to-date and optimal methods of training, but also explores different movement with clients to help them discover what THEY love about training, not just what he believes is best. All the while, he will ensure you get top-tier coaching and instruction.

Cole enjoys a lot of different active hobbies, including combat sports (BJJ and MMA), Olympic Weightlifting, hiking/backpacking, and swimming. When he’s not doing these things, he likes to read fiction, play video games, and play with his Husky, Atlas!​

Aidan is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council of Exercise (ACE). Prior to stepping into the fitness world, Aidan studied at the University of Maryland pursuing an undergraduate degree in Neurobiology and Physiology. As an individual born with a speech disorder, Aidan understands the hardships and challenges with overcoming adversity.
Through Aidan’s own personal training career, he was able to emphasize the importance and connection of the intersectionality between fitness and emotional health. He began his career with a focus in strength training and powerlifting, but has transformed his expertise to illuminate the benefits of mobility and function into workout programs. One of his training philosophies is to enhance the client experience both in and out of the studio, creating wellness goals with individuals he works with.
Outside of fitness, Aidan holds leadership roles in the National Stuttering Association and leads the DC Chapter of the Organization. He enjoys speaking with youth and providing representation to Black children around the DMV. A passionate advocate, he understands the empowering effect of vulnerability to create open discussion amongst those who identify with these groups.

Vanessa is a Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Before becoming a personal trainer, she studied Physics at the University of Las Americas Puebla, which honed her attention to detail.

Vanessa's journey into personal training began after having her son. The challenges she faced post-delivery, such as upper back, lower back, and pubic bone pain, sparked her determination to find solutions and assist women dealing with similar issues, enabling them to embrace motherhood fully.
​
Over the past three years, Vanessa has worked with a wide variety of clients, who presented with unique challenges that have deepened her understanding of human body mechanics and enhanced her ability to help them move better.
​
Educating her clients on the rationale behind each exercise and fostering a love for fitness in them are what Vanessa finds most rewarding as a personal trainer.

ROB GRAVELINE

Rob began his personal, and ultimately his professional, fitness journey at 16 years old. Graduating high school weighing 400 pounds, Rob decided to get into shape and lose weight, losing 210 lbs over the next 24 months. With such a drastic physical change, people began asking him for advice, during which he realized how much he enjoyed guiding others in improving their health, but he also knew he had to learn more.

During his time at Shepherd College, he earned his B.S. in Business Administration, but pursued degrees in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine, ultimately leading him to receive his M.Ed. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Virginia. During his time at UVA he worked in Cardiac Rehabilitation, Adult Fitness, and acted as the Graduate Assistant for the Strength and Conditioning program, overseeing all non-revenue sports teams training programs.
Over his 30+ year career in the Fitness Industry, Rob has trained countless clients of all ages ranging from professional athletes to cardiac transplant recipients. He has acted in roles from Personal Trainer, to Fitness Director, to owning his own personal training and fitness company. A few years ago he chose to close his personal training business and try something new in a completely different industry, but his passion for the fitness industry never left and now he is back doing what he believes he was called to do with his life.

CONNOR GANNON
Connor's interest in coaching stems mainly from his background as an athlete earlier in life. He began his journey as a swimmer and baseball player. After sustaining an injury during high school, he left his athletic career behind to pursue a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with the hopes of becoming a collegiate sports performance coach.

Over the past two years, Connor achieved his goal of working as a collegiate sports performance coach at Longwood University while simultaneously attending the university to study Kinesiology.
​
Connor has since left collegiate sports in search of a more fulfilling career. After working as a collegiate coach, Connor found work as a personal trainer in a corporate gym where he was able to hone his skills in an environment geared more towards general fitness clients. Since making this change, Connor has helped clients from all walks of life achieve their goals whether that be from injury rehabilitation, body composition changes, athletic performance, and general health & wellness.

Jeff is a Personal Trainer certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Growing up, he participated in sports including soccer, basketball, and hiking in order to maintain good health. Following injuries that limited his ability to engage in those activities, he became passionate about educating himself on proper strength training to help improve his joint and muscle function.
Upon graduating from Syracuse University, Jeffrey's passion has turned to helping others improve their own health & fitness through properly executed and thought out resistance training.

Robert Delozier
Personal Trainer
Robbie is a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and an ACE Certified Personal Trainer. He has had an interest in exercise, health, and performance from a young age as he grew up playing soccer, lacrosse, and tennis. As sports began to become less prevalent in his life, he turned to other modes of exercise, including weight training for strength and hypertrophy, olympic weightlifting, and distance running. He soon realized the positive effects it added to his life beyond the physical benefits, as it encouraged improvement in his mentality too.

This realization led him to align his education and career with his interests by earning a B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland. During and after college, he gained working experience through sports performance internships and personal training jobs, ultimately leading him to Method Fitness. He appreciates the personal connection allowed by 1-on-1 training, and hopes to build relationships with his clients as he continues with his personal training career.

ZACH DIETZ

Zach is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Prior to joining Method Fitness, Zach spent four years working in Division I athletics. Zach spent time in Utah, Minnesota, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania interning with and training athletes from unique backgrounds. Overall, he has experience working with populations ranging from youth baseball players to Olympic-level alpine skiers, and a lot in-between. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota in 2022.
Before entering the world of strength conditioning, Zach grew up playing baseball competitively. His performance training and injury history stems from his own experiences. He is driven to help others reach their goals, while accounting for the toll that real life takes. Zach prioritizes safety, goal-achieving, and building relationships with his clients above all else. He specializes in athletic performance, injury prevention, mobility training, and general strengthening and conditioning.

In his free time, Zach enjoys going for long walks around the city, playing a variety of musical instruments, and volunteering for the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy.
